For all of our clients who are a fan of everything luxury, we have put together a little itinerary which is ideal for people who want to take their travel to Bangladesh to a different level such as couples who are looking for a romantic week in a unique off the beaten path destination.
Bangladesh doesn’t always comes up in your mind when you’re thinking about fancy holidays in luxury hotels and posh restaurant and yes, we need to admit that there is still a long way to go, but there is some improvement gradually happening and we’ve put together a nice little itinerary of a few nice destinations all over the country in which we’ll give you the chance to get to know this little gem in our comfortable tour. We have selected which we believe are the best hotels and also use our best vehicles.
The starting point of the trip is of course the capital Dhaka, a dizzying cauldron full of energy and activity. Every day, about half a million brightly painted bicycle rickshaws move like colorful waves through an endless sea of traffic.
To the southeast, take a helicopter flight over the mighty mangroves of the delta and cruise through the beautiful mangroves and swamps of the Sundarbans in search of the Bengal tiger and other wildlife.
One of Bangladesh’s most picturesque landscapes are the tea-covered hills at Srimangal, in the sparsely populated corner of the country’s northeast. Besides tea plantations, you will also find the oldest and most accessible semi-tropical forests of Bangladesh in this area, where you can enjoy the silence of nature.
Travel via cosmopolitan Chittagong, the country’s busiest port city, to the most fascinating region of Bangladesh, both scenically and culturally: the Chittagong Hill Tracts. In this forested mountain area that stretches along the Burmese border, tribes like the Chakma and Marma still lead a life of their own, separate from the laws and regulations of the rest of the country. For a long time, this special, predominantly Buddhist area was closed to tourism, but for a few years now, visitors have been slowly admitted. Charming Rangamati is the main town of the region and is situated on a number of small islands in the picturesque Kaptai Lake. A boat trip to the tribal villages on the tropical green shores of this lake is an undisputed highlight of your visit, especially on market days.

Day 2 Dhaka
Today we’ll explore the capital of Bangladesh: Dhaka, where we will visit Lalbagh Fort, a 17th century Mughal palace that today is an oasis of calm in the middle of the city. Particularly popular as a meeting point for local youth. Although the majority of the population is Muslim, there is also room to visit a Hindu temple: Dhakeswari Temple. A first acquaintance ends in the Newmarket shopping complex. Everything is for sale here and there is a cozy atmosphere. On the top floor, the textile department is very colorful and photogenic. Here the cloths and rugs are still old-fashioned with blocks provided with their pattern. We’ll make sure you’ll have a nice lunch at noon and in the evening we’ll organise you an authentic local meal, stay tuned!
You’ll be staying at Lakeshore hotel or alternatively The Way or Doreen.
Day 3 Chittagong and Kaptai Lake
Today we’ll take a plane to Chittagong, the second largest city in Bangladesh and also the largest port in the country, to the south. In colonial times – except for Calcutta – most of the British in all of Bengal lived here. We’ll visit the shipwrecks on the beach. Chittagong is famous for this, shipwrecks are brought here and completely gutted to resell all parts.
We’ll take a boat trip on Kaptai Lake and pass through a gorge to visit Subalong and meet some tribes on the islands in the lake. One of those tribes is the Chakma, who also run a small restaurant where lunch is probably taken. At the end of the afternoon we’ll return to Chittagong where you’ll have a free evening and stay at the Radisson again.
Day 4 Bandarban and the green hills of Bangladesh

Day 5 Cox’ Bazar
Today we’ll visit the longest uninterrupted beach in the world: Cox’ Bazar! This beautiful beach is known for the Buddhist culture and the indigenous tribe that lives here. Today on your way to the beach you will first visit an indigenous village and the Buddhist temple city of Ramus. You will then be taken to different parts of the beach before being transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the sunset tonight and relax at Sayeman Beach Resort.
Day 6 Saint Martin’s Island
Today we drive to Teknaf, just next to the border of Myanmar and take a boat to the tropical Saint Martin’s Island, where you will not believe your eyes when you see the beauty of this island. You have the day off to explore and relax on the island. Like Cox’s Bazaar, St. Martin’s Island is also characterized by beautiful sandy beaches, met by a blue sea and plenty of palm trees. The island has a diameter of 6 kilometers. With its perfect bounty beaches, this southernmost tip of Bangladesh is one of the most impressive places in Bangladesh. We will return to Cox’ Bazar in the late afternoon where you’ll stay again at the Sayeman Beach Resort.
Day 7 and 8 Sylhet and the green land of the tea plantations
Today we’ll take a flight (currently around noon) from Cox’ Bazar through Dhaka with a transfer to Sylhet in the Srimangal area. In Sylhet you will stay in the beautiful Nazimgargh Garden Resort.
Srimangal is an area made up of green tea plantations, it is the wonderland of the Sylhet region. Tourism has been boosted in Srimangal as a former tea plantation owner decided to turn to domestic tourism after crops failed. The owner developed a special type of tea: ‘Seven layer tea’, a cup of tea with seven different layers of tea on top of each other. Quite unique and something that made more Bengalis come to Srimangal for a few days of vacation. Today, Srimangal is a real tourist hotspot for the wealthy Bengali population. Not only due to the ‘Seven layer tea’, but because of the green tea fields, wild waterfalls and untouched nature. Foreign tourists have not discovered this green pearl yet, so we invite you to come over with us to explore!
We will use our afternoon and the following day to explore the whole region!
Day 9 Return to Dhaka
