Welcome to Sreemangal, the tea capital of Bangladesh. On our day tour starting from Sreemangal we’ll explore the best sites the region has to offer. We’ll start our day as early as 6 am and will then go to Madhabpur Lake, beautifully located among the tea plantations, a serene sight. After the lake we’ll continue to Lawachara where we’ll enter the tropical forest looking for plant and animal diversity, followed by a visit to the wetland of Baikka Beel. We’ll bring you back to your hotel in the late afternoon.
Madhabpur Lake is a beautiful natural lake located in the Habiganj district of Bangladesh. The lake is surrounded by lush green hills and tea plantations, making it a popular destination for nature lovers and photographers. Here we’ll enjoy the serene atmosphere and breathtaking scenery and discover its rich cultural heritage, with several historical sites and temples located nearby.
Lawachara is a forest reserve located in the northeastern part of Bangladesh, near the town of Srimangal. The forest is known for its rich biodiversity, with several rare and endangered species of plants and animals calling the area home. We’ll go on a hike through the forest and will observe the diverse flora and fauna, including several species of primates and birds. The forest is also an important source of livelihood for the local communities, who rely on it for timber, fuelwood, and other forest products.
Baikka Beel is a wetland located in the southwestern part of Bangladesh, near the city of Khulna. It is one of the largest inland wetlands in the country and is known for its rich biodiversity and cultural significance. The wetland is home to a variety of aquatic animals, such as fish, crabs, and turtles, as well as several species of birds and mammals. It is also an important source of livelihood for the local communities, who rely on it for fishing and agriculture. We’ll have a short boat ride through the wetland and enjoy the scenery.
